For this project, I worked with Napa County’s former beloved head librarian, who asked me to bring her favorite books to life on the front steps of her home. She gave me a list of her all-time favorites, and I researched original hardback editions to recreate their spines in rich, jewel-toned enamel on steel. Each riser is its own tribute—together forming a vibrant, personal staircase of stories. It was a joy to merge literature, color, and craft in such a unique and welcoming way.
