Chalk Pastel on Pavement

For this street painting festival piece, I reimagined a vintage “Visit Mexico” travel poster in vibrant chalk pastels. The lush fruit, warm tropical colors, and welcoming figure were a joy to translate into a large-scale temporary artwork. I’ve always been drawn to vintage illustration and old films, and street painting allowed me to bring that nostalgic charm into a sun-soaked, public performance. Though I no longer do chalk art due to the physical demands, it remains one of my favorite examples of art as joyful connection.
