Ella’s Cathouse & Adoption Center

Series of Murals Napa, CA 2025
Commissioned by: Jameson Humane

I created a series of joyful, site-specific murals for Ella’s Cathouse—a feline-focused adoption center that balances playfulness with calm. Each piece was designed to support the emotional environment of the space while celebrating the personality of its namesake cat.

Kitty Yarn Ball Room: In the ‘gen pop’ room, I painted a 20' x 10' mural of oversized yarn balls tumbling across the wall, including a strand of red yarn that spells “Ella’s.” Inspired by the furnishings and color palette of the space, this mural adds movement, humor, and warmth to a room where cats play and meet their future humans.

Ella’s Flower Garden: In the quiet room, I created a hand-painted floral mural using warm, muted tones—pinks, golds, olives, and burgundy—set against a gentle gray. The design offers a soft, peaceful retreat for cats needing rest from the spotlight.

Exterior Murals & Signage: On the building’s front, I designed two 16' x 4' panels that include cheerful signage, cat silhouettes, and a stylized portrait of Ella—the cat who inspired the center’s name. With bold shapes and a clean layout, the signage offers clear wayfinding while setting a friendly, welcoming tone.
