I collaborated with Davis artist Hearne Pardee to produce the custom tile surface for this outdoor picnic table installation. Hearne created a series of paintings exploring the color and rhythm of natural light, which he translated into a woven tile pattern reflecting “everyday light.” I produced the tiles based on his palette and pattern and brought in master tile installer Gerry Iuliano to help with fabrication. The result is a quiet, beautiful piece that brings art into daily use and community space.
