I created this collaborative mural with members of ICC, a nonprofit that supports adults living with mental health challenges. Through a series of conversations and design workshops, we explored their shared experiences during the COVID-19 lockdown—feelings of fear, isolation, and hope. The mural uses seeds, soil, and light as symbols of resilience and growth, inspired by the garden at ICC and the group’s reflections on moving from darkness into light. Participants helped shape the imagery and meaning, and the final piece honors both the difficulty of that time and the support systems that helped them through it.
