I worked with Sacramento artist Brenda Louie to produce the mosaic surface for this striking metal sculpture. Brenda envisioned a rich, jewel-toned ring in gold and cobalt blue—symbolizing both value and safety in a new residential neighborhood. I also created the etched “Cheers Russ” detail on the back, using the real signature of Tower Records founder and local arts champion Russ Solomon. Installed in the park that bears his name, the sculpture is both personal and communal—honoring memory, generosity, and belonging.
