Mosaic Stepping Stones for Exterior Sensory Pathway

As part of a larger sensory pathway, students at Willow Elementary designed and created mosaic stepping stones inspired by their studies of the Napa River. Over 100 students participated in hands-on workshops and collaborative design sessions, incorporating river-themed words and animal imagery into their work. I completed the fabrication in my studio and installed the stones in a flowing, river-like pattern on campus in May 2023. The pathway is now a beloved part of daily life at the school and an integral feature of their Artful Learning model.
